The Government of Canadian announced strategic investments of $44.3 million in 11 Canadian cleantech companies, including North Vancouver’s Ecoation Innovative Solutions Inc. (ecoation), to further advance Canada’s position as a leader in the rapidly evolving clean technology market.
North Vancouver, BC (Thursday, May 27, 2021) - Looking forward, the Government of Canada has taken initiative to show that the road to recovery following the global pandemic includes strategic government investments in cleantech to grow a greener economy of the future. ecoation is one of 11 Canadian cleantech innovators to receive new financial support from Sustainable Development Technologies Canada amounting to $3.1M.
The funding announced today by Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, joined by Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) Chair Annette Verschuren and SDTC President and CEO Leah Lawrence will support small and medium-sized businesses that are working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the environmental impacts of energy exploration and production, support more sustainable agricultural practices, and respond to a wide range of important challenges.
